hari3 berpagi-pagi di Seoul- Guyeongbokgung

Salam,

Hari ke3 kami di seoul. Bangun pagi dgn girang sekali. Bukak pintu guest house ja terus nampak snow banyak-banyak. Uitt banyak-banyak suka jugak :)

Agenda hari pertama bermula di korea tourism center. This center offer full assistance to tourist who are interested to experience korean culture by themselves. The center is located in the busy shopping street of Myeongdong. We pass by that street everyday but never ever realize it's existence! i never thought there will be such a place in the shopping area! There is very small poster showing their existence in front of the shop, next to Zara and Forever21. So, who ever want to spare sometimes learning korean culture (well, everyone has to go because it is free!!, you won't loose anything trust me), please visit myeongdong and keep your eyes open. It can be very tricky to find the center because they only put up small poster. But as i said, the center is located close to Zara and Forever21 and owh Daiso shop too.

Inside of the tourism center.

Great interior design that give very warm atmosphere and yes, indeed it was warm inside. Hehehe. The temperature out there was minus something, very very cold but sorry i can't really recall the exact number. Please excuse me for that. But, the owner of the guest house has reminded us a day before, that a day after heavy snow is going to be very cold. Owh yes, he was definitely right! It was cold on that day but alhamdulillah we managed to survive well. Luckily, seoul is not as windy and dry as tokyo. I don't fell any discomfort in my nose as i always experience in tokyo. No breathing difficulty and definitely no nose bleeding. Thanks Allah for that.

So, what did we do that day? Ehem2 we managed to get ourselves in korean traditional dress known as Hanbok. There are various patterns and colors available but i settled down with the red and green one :) the officer in charge help us to dress up complete with headband as an accessory, which i think look a bit funny on us. Hahahah. Oppss maybe just on me!

We are in a serious mode :) hahaha serius la sgt kan!

So, if anyone of you have any interest to try this traditional dress, make sure you wake up early in the morning and wait in front of the office. They usually open at 10 and bear in mind that this is free service. Everyone is looking forward for it and it can be very crowded. So, be sure to be there early and register as soon as you get into the office.

After having such a warm feeling dress up like a princess (hahahaha), we went straight to our next destination. Where is it? It is Gyeongbokgung. Literally translated to gyeongbok= greatly blessed by heaven, gung= palace. (Source: wikipedia o(^_-)O)

We were very excited, super duper excited as soon as we were out of the subway. Subhanallah, such a wonderful place! Especially when we can clearly see the ancient building more than 500 years old with very interesting details. According to wikipedia (again), the palace was first constructed in 1395, then in 1867 was reconstructed after was burned and abandoned for nearly three centuries.

To make it more stunning, the palace is located right in front of the mountain covered with snow. Ya Allah, that is so awesome!

What do you think? Amazing right? Subhanallah, gembira tak terkata hari tu. walaupun cuaca sgt sejuk, tangan terketar-ketar ambik gambar kami tetap tabah, berhenti-henti sekejap main snow. HeheheHehe sempat gakla beberapa saat main-main tuju salji. Hahaha. Saya terlupa plak nm bangunan tu. tmpt tu pun.

Nak kena berhenti dulu.

Wassalam :)
